Golden Camera Awards 2012: Scarlett Johansson wins prize, didn't release film in 2011
Despite being absent from every other award nominees list - mainly because she didn't release a film in 2011, Scarlett Johansson won the big acting prize at Berlin's Golden Camera bash over the weekend. Perhaps it was something else she did of notice??
Maybe Germany had a different release schedule, but we've just looked at Johansson's CV and it seems that her last film (Iron Man 2) came out in 2010, then her next one (We Bought A Zoo) is set for next month, so we're not really sure why she won the Best Actress prize, but we're sure she deserves it. Meanwhile, Denzel Washington got the Best Actor gong. We guess the Germans must've really liked Unstoppable (AKA No Brakes on a Train), since that's all he did last year. Then Morgan Freeman won the Lifetime Achievement Award, which was probably more of a nod at Shawshank Redemption/Batman Begins/Se7en than the More Than ads, although you never know...
Also, he can do the Morgan Freeman voice in German too - give him a prize for that alone...
