Take That survive plane being struck by lightning, the Greatest Day of our lives
Take That conquered DEATH yesterday as their plane was struck by a DEADLY bolt of lightning, with only the heroics of their pilot saving them from their impending DOOM. We could be floating on a sea of tears, mourning the loss of Gary, Mark, Howard, Jason and Robbie had things gone differently. But instead we are skipping around the office to the chorus of 'Greatest Day' and hugging everyone in sight. Today this genuinely could be the greatest day of our lives.
Let's ponder this morbid question for a moment: what would actually happen if Take That died in a horrific plane crash?
It'd be Diana pt. 2, wouldn't it? In fact, it would probably be Diana pt. 2 multiplied by a million. And the population of middle-aged women in the country would drop by at least 50%.
Anyway, they survived, so let's not dwell on that thought any longer. Let's get back to rejoicing and doing the Relight My Fire dance routine. Tell us, Daily Mirror source, how did Take That manage to create such a minor miracle and live to tell the tale?
"The plane took off fairly normally, though we knew there was bad weather ahead, but mid-way during the flight the turbulence was really quite frightening. Then suddenly, there was a bright flash, and the plane had obviously been struck by lightning. The pilot had to make an announcement and reassure the passengers that everything was all right."
It's a wonder Gary Barlow was on the flight in the first place, because everyone knows (we just found out) that he's shit scared of planes. When asked recently what superpower he would like to have, he didn't say the ability to make Robbie less of a twat, he in fact said:
"Flying for me, because it means I wouldn't have to go on a plane again. I don't like planes, not a fan."
Which is a it different from Howard, who just bought himself a sea plane. He can play the pilot in our screenplay of this historic tale, in that case. Nobody will notice if he's not part of the band anyway.

Whatever, planes get struck by lightning ALL the time, they're engineered to withstand it. Tell Take That's PR department to get over themselves and stop talking shit.
Although as previously mentioned, death would be a seriously good career move right now for the lads.
Sometimes dying can be the best thing you ever did for your career, look at Elvis, John Lennon and James Dean but there's a flip side, people whose careers would have been infinitely legendised (a real word?) by dying except they failed to, notably Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones and David Bowie and now Take That!
Dying = catapulted into superstardom and legend for evermore
Surviving = headed back to mediocrity and a big career move FAIL boys.....
