HE MUST'VE CRACKED

Sinead O'Connor's 16 day long marriage ended after she was given crack on wedding night

As you've may have heard, Sinead O'Connor's pre-Christmas marriage wasn't quite the eternal bonding of body, mind and soul that she had hoped it would be be, lasting as it did for only 16 days, which could only really be considered an eternity if you're terminally ill.

In a blog post too long for any self-respecting mid-christmas article to reproduce (scroll down to 26.12.11) Sinead explained to adoring fans and Christmas holiday cover journalists alike that she had regretfully split up with her fourth husband Barry Herridge after 16 days together, having lived with him for only seven of those.

In the very same post she also asked people not to be arseholes about the whole affair and said the marital fuck up was no-one's business but her own, a statement we all throughly agreed with before totally disregarding. After all, 'Hope you're ok, Sinead' is no where near as satisfying to write under all her YouTube videos as 'What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas'.

Although one of the originaly reasons given by Sinead for the breakdown of the two week marriage was her attempt to buy drugs on the wedding night, it turns out there was a bit more to it than we were led to believe:

ORIGINAL POST: "And also by a bit of a wild ride i took us on looking for a bit of a smoke of weed for me wedding night as I don't drink"

INTERVIEW WITH THE SUN: "It felt like I was living in a coffin. It was going to be a coffin for both of us and I saw him crushed.

"The whole reason I ended it was out of respect and love for the man."

"[On the wedding night] We ended up in a cab in some place that was quite dangerous.

"I wasn't scared — but he's a drugs counsellor. What was I thinking?

"Then I was handed a load of crack. Barry was very frightened — that kind of messed everything up a bit really."

So there you are. Sinead's marriage broke up because she was given crack on her wedding night while out hunting for marijuana with her new husband, a drug counsellor.

Merry Christmas everyone!
