Celebrity Big Brother 2011: Paddy Doherty beats Jedward and Kerry Katona to win!

Celebrity Big Brother 2011 drew to a close last night with an unlikely winner: Paddy Doherty from Big Fat Gypsy Weddings. Well, we say unexpected, but we actually had him pegged as the winner from day one. We hate to gloat, but, you know *gloat*.

Paddy shot to notoriety on Big Fat Gypsy Weddings, and at first his appearance on Big Brother was met with derision and scorn, with the audience on the first night booing him as he entered the house. He quickly won everyone round, though, by saying the word “sausage” as much as possible and being quite agreeable.

Paddy’s win is very much in the Alex Reid mould, and thusly we can only assume that he’ll be signed up to CAN Associates within the week, and deployed to as many downmarket red carpet events as he can manage. Either that, or he’ll return to his life as the patriarch of Salford’s Traveller community, with his lovely wife Roseanne.
