Vernon Kay loses sponsorship deal, misses out on Big Money prize
Despite managing to cling onto wife, Tess Daly, Vernon Kay has lost out on £100,000 after sending what must now be the world's most expensive text messages to Page 3 model, Rhian Sugden.
The sexting scandal surrounding Vernon Kay has now cost him a six-figure sponsorship deal with car makers, Alfa Romeo, after announcing they have dropped plans to make him the new face of their brand.
After admitting to sending apparently arousing texts to the model, such as "your boobs are looking great today" and "you wanted a piece of my pert arse", the Italian car manufacturers are now having second thoughts about making the world's most pathetic cheater an ambassador of their company.
A spokesman for the firm revealed the following:
"We had been in discussions with a view to recruiting Vernon in an ambassadorial role for the brand. But in the light of what has happened, we have dropped that idea."
So after scrapping their idea to allow a man who committed infidelity through a telephone to represent their brand, Alfa Romeo are reportedly now in talks with TV chef and I'm A Celeb winner, Gino D'Acampo, to fill in Vernon's role - the man who was once locked up for two years for burglary. They mustn't have realised Jack Tweed has just been released from prison...
